Updates and details for Mahendra Singh Dhoni Quits as Amrapali Brand Ambassador:

India’s “Captain Cool” – Mahendra Singh Dhoni who was the brand ambassador of realty firm Amrapali for the last six to seven years, is no longer.

Anil Sharma, chairman and managing director of the company told that “Dhoni is no longer our brand ambassador. I do not want his image to be affected because of being attached to Amrapali. This decision was taken mutually by Dhoni and us.”

MS Dhoni was the brand ambassador of the company for the last 6-7 years. Residents of Noida’s sector45 Amrapali Sapphire Society had tagged Dhoni in their tweets complaining about the delay in completion of the housing project. The residents asked Dhoni to either dissociate himself with the builder or force him to completed work.

Earlier this week, Dhoni had said that he will take up the matter with the builder and it must deliver on its promises. Sharma assured residents that the company would complete the pending works in the project in next three months by saying that “We have set up a committee to look all the complaints of the residents.”

RK Srivastava, a retired naval official and a resident of Amrapali Sapphire said in the interview to the media, “Dhoni promised that whatever had been promised by the builder should be delivered. It is his moral responsibility to ask the builder to complete all projects immediately. Dhoni is a good finisher. And he should finish it well. His quitting is an escape from responsibility.”

“Dhoni has not quit on his own. We have requested him to dissociate himself from the group because some buyers with vested interests are maligning our brand. Therefore, we do not want the negative campaign to hurt Dhoni’s brand”, said Amrapali executive director Shiv Priya.
